AfCEN and The Campbell Collaboration deliver a training workshop on Evidence Synthesis for academia at UCU

Africa Centre MakCHS in partnership with the Campbell Collaboration delivered a premier 3-day training workshop on evidence synthesis – focusing on the conduct of systematic reviews and, evidence and gap maps (EGMs) to the audience of 20 academic staff of Uganda Christian University, Mbale Campus and Livingstone University. Trainers included: Prof. Howard White, the CEO of the  Campbell Collaboration, and a global expert in evidence synthesis and development evaluations and; two research fellows from Africa Centre MakCHS, (Mr. Katairo Thomas and Ms. Caroline Otike). The training was complemented by a public lecture on evidence synthesis for a wider academia community both within and outside Uganda. The beneficiary universities expressed great interest in evidence synthesis and are looking forward to follow up trainings and future collaborations with the Centre!
